Introduction

Better Cycling will be providing a variety of training camps both at home and abroad, taking in some of the most iconic and memorable routes in UK & European cycling. Camps will be aimed at providing top class locations, giving riders the chance to experience Grand Tour Cols and make the very most of them from a fitness and training perspective too.
Head coach Mike Wilson will be on hand at all training camps to advise riders on pacing, power, heart rate, nutrition and much more!

Next training camp: Road cycling and triathlon training camps in Morzine, French Alps, 2017

Dates: Sunday 25th June 2017 to Sunday 2nd July 2017
and:  Sunday 2nd July 2017 to Sunday 9th July 2017

Cost: Packages from £550 (half board with supported guiding and coaching)

For 2017, Better Cycling, in partnership with Lifecycol are offering you a training camp to remember. Based in the traditional Savoie town of Morzine in the Northern French Alps, close to Lake Geneva and amongst some of the finest scenery the Alps have to offer.

Morzine played host to the penultimate, Queen stage of the Tour de France 2016. It is a mere 75 minute transfer from Geneva Airport, and is surrounded by iconic climbs used by the TDF, such as the infamous Col de Joux-Plane, Col de la Colombiere and the Col de la Ramaz, as well as many other lesser known, but equally as challenging cols.

Whether you ride purely for leisure or you are training for a specific event, expert advice will be on hand from Better Cycling. Head coach Mike Wilson of Better Cycling and his team will facilitate you in improving your riding and triathlon performance, concentrating on pacing, using power and heart rate strategies.

Your stay will include 6 days of fully guided and vehicle supported riding or triathlon training, led by local guides with extensive knowledge of the area. This will include basic mechanical support on the road and in the unlikely event it is required, repatriation to your chalet. Whilst riding in the mountains we pride ourselves on safety and enjoyment and will ensure that nobody is left behind.

The groups will be split as required, in order to accommodate all levels and abilities. Routes will be decided by the coaches and guides on a nightly basis as the week progresses. This enables the coaches to better tailor the riding to the needs of the individuals present and to take into account local weather conditions.

Choose from Luxury or Standard chalet accommodation, both of which include a tasty, nutritious cyclist’s breakfast, a post-ride recovery snack, beers and a three-course dinner with wine.
